Inspiration

Introduction inspiration

Inspiration is the root, the foundation of this website, but as of now we have some difficulty making a page about it as you may see below. The definition doesn’t seem to bring us anywhere.

Something like

“breathing something into you so you would take action in a happy, natural way to achieve success”

may tell you more about what this site is all about.

Definition of inspiration

According to Merriam Webster:

in·spi·ra·tion \,in(t)-spə-‘rā-shən, -(,)spi-\

Definition of inspiration:

    • a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation;
    • the action or power of moving the intellect or emotions;
    • the act of influencing or suggesting opinions;
  1. the act of drawing in; specifically: the drawing of air into the lungs;
    • the quality or state of being inspired;
    • something that is inspired <a scheme that was pure inspiration>;
  2. an inspiring agent or influence.

in·spire [in-spahyuhr]

Inspiration is a sudden intuition/stimulation of the mind, which provides guidance in a certain situation or the solution for a question or problem.

Text from before

You may want to check the page What is Inspiration first as I have been writing there something more of what you may be looking for. Let’s first state what I think inspiration means in the sense of this

site. I think it would be something like:

“breathing something into you so you would take action in a happy, natural way to achieve success”

According to what I found on Meaning of Inspiration, the litteral meaning of inspiration is:

To breathe in and be filled with spirit of the gods.

Well, quite similar it seems, and I didn’t remember the last one while writing the first. Another, more modern version of what inspiration means according to that site is something like:

A motivating action or influence that results in creative works and productivity of all kinds.

I don’t directly see that inspiration would always be related to creative, but I prefer to leave it as is right now, as I believe inspiration is somehow related to creating something new. Something like, indeed, with this site I want you do do something else, something different in order to achieve success.

So what next

And wow, as in inexperienced blogger and writer I am starting to realize it’s not easy to create a new page about something like inspiration. As you may notice for inspiration I am using other sites, but I don’t want to copy too many things, I want to create something new, related to this site, like relating inspiration to success. And this is a page, not a blog post, where page means to me something like ‘provides information that lasts’ and a blog post is something like something I just write as it comes to me, something I experience at the moment of writing, just sharing something.

From elsewhere

On the page What is inspiration I found a nice post, but a bit commercial with many ads kind of obscuring the content. That’s what I’m trying to avoid at the moment, but not sure if I can in the future. I liked especially how the page starts, so I’ll copy that here:

Inspiration is a like engine fuel or good food, without it we cannot run, without it we cannot eternally create, without it our creativity will eventually wither and die.

And the last sentence:

Never give up searching for inspiration, wait patiently for it to come. Inspiration will change your life in a matter of seconds.

Some nicer stuff on another site: abundance. Again, very commercial, you have to read between the ads.

From before

I did make a page What is Inspiration though, but that is mainly for SEO reasons :). And while writing this, please note that i am using an awful lot of knowledge and experience of all my life, including knowledge how to build up a site on the internet, so if this site would rank high quickly, one of the reasons would be that everything I do in and around this site I do with Search Engine Optimization in the back of my mind. Don’t get me wrong, I am building this site for me, for you, for humans, not for search engines. But in order to achieve success on the internet in 2013 one must certainly know ‘how to be found’, what to do and what not to do. And i also notice there is an awful lot of drive, an awful lot of power I feel when working on the site. I am even starting to believe that that just may be the thing Napoleon Hill mentions. That the desire I feel, the desire to finally get what I want makes me almost continuously, effortlessly working on this site, something i haven’t felt for a long, long time, might just be the thing i have been searching for in the book, the thing the book points to, but doesn’t mention explicitly. And again, i think it’s personal, so what works for me now, might not work for you. The book and this site just give principles. And like in the book, I guess for this site also applies something like, keep reading, keep going, keep re-reading, until you feel the desire, until things almost go naturally, until things start to flow. It scares me, writing this down. I long so much for success, so much for peace of mind, I gave so, so much.The road was and is so hard and long. Could it really be that this site will be the success I am looking for, I am destined for? Could this really be the thing Napoleon Hill describes, like when riches comes, it comes in such vast amounts that one wonders where it has been hiding all the time. Time will tell, until then, i would be happy if you join me in my journey AND start your own journey in, for now in the page your goal. Yes, of course i want you to achieve your goal, who wouldn’t want someone else see succeed? So maybe that’s what this whole journey and all this suffering of mine is about. To learn and find a way to help other people achieve success. You certainly don’t want to be where I have been. If I can avoid that for only one person with this site or otherwise then I guess my life has had a purpose.

Inspiration vs. aspiration

Found this article: http://dailyplateofcrazy.com/2012/02/09/how-to-succeed-or-keep-on-trying-aspiration-inspiration-motivation/. A bit long, but I’ll try to summarize some of it. I lke the aspiration vs. inspiration.
