Well, just need a placeholder for this. I, Guus, noticed a lot of paralysis lately with many things. Things I just didn’t do or didn’t finish, even though I had the time. Then somehow (Infinite Intelligence?), I found something about mental inertia in Think and Grow Rich. And of course how to deal with it. So it’s not that uncommon it seems.
Can’t find the area in the book straight away now, but I remember to overcome it is something like, yes waking from a dream where you feel paralyzed. Solution is to first move a finger, then another finger, then the hand, then the arm and so on, until you can move the whole body again.
And it’s also what a friend suggested to me some time ago when I felt completely stuck, completely paralyzed: just start with a little thing, do it, and stop. And reward yourself for doing it.
And yes, from experience I know the last works, even though I fell back. But I also know that you can recover by just doing smaller things again, until there is something that you can finish. And then be happy, be satisfied that you finished it, even the smallest thing. Could be even brushing your teeth or just coming out of bed. Or maybe even just moving a finger.
