Search and you will find

As I am not home and the laptop broke down and I don’t have any modern gadgets that have internet access like a table I had no option but to look for an internet cafe to send my daily quote and to post my daily posts. As I am in a big city not far from the center I just went to the hotel desk and asked where I could use the internet. There was one, but it was closed. Try tomorrow morning. As I wanted to do my daily posts I pushed a bit, but no solutions came from the people behind the front desk. I decided to try my luck and just roam around a bit. I thought I knew the area quite a bit from some time ago and an internet cafe could not be far. How wrong I was. It was very quiet outside and despite it is a big city the streets were almost deserted. Also most, or actually practically all shops and businesses around were closed. A bit scary, but I decided to push through.

There were a lot of taxi drivers around who tried to sell me a ride, but I didn’t feel like taking a taxi. I did get the hunch to ask one of them and he came with an answer, pointed a direction and it sounded like not too far away. So I decided to go and after a while I indeed found an internet cafe, probably the one that was pointed out to me. And I was very happy to have found it as it was a bit further than I expected and I was about to give up or find another way. So the post title is “Search and you will find”, but after writing it and starting to write the post I realized that I had done a little bit more than just searching and finding. First, I had the desire to do my daily inspiration for success things. Next I decided to gather some information, do research, ask. Then I made my plan and after that I took the action of implementing my plan. And while researching I was quite a bit persistent to get what I wanted and I was also persistent in continuing finding what I wanted to find by just walking a little bit further than I thought the distance would be.

I also realized I was careful to keep track of the road so I could go back to the hotel and also careful looking around for danger as it was quite late in a big city I’m not familiar with where it was a bit too quiet to be or feel fully safe. I also realized that Infinite Intelligence pointed me in the direction to ask a taxi driver and that the taxi driver I asked also had the right answer.

So maybe the principles of success are that simple and I even implemented them in a very natural way in this case. So for the bigger successes I”m looking for maybe I just need to scale it up a bit. Maybe that’s all.

My first WordPress front-end plugin

Well, not easy to learn a new software framework, even though ‘everybody’ always seems to say that WordPress is so simple. Before it took me quite a while to make my back-end plugin work to send the daily inspiration mail, but lately I’ve been struggling with the front-end plugin so people can subscribe to our e-mails. Of course being a perfectionist the plugin just needs to be ‘installed’, nothing else and the front-end only needs to include an element with a specific id, then it should just work. Well, and it does, so if you want to receive our daily e-mail with an inspirational quote just go to the page subscribe, fill in your e-mail address and click on the confirmation link in the e-mail you will receive shortly after. That’s it, no more. And if you’re interested in the plugin just send an e-mail to guus@inspiration-for-success.com.

So what’s inspiring in this post? Well, maybe that I was a bit desperate as the front end plugin worked on my local development system but not on this site. And then it’s hard to find out what’s wrong, if it’s just working in one place and not in the other.

Anyhow, with some patience and persistence I was just able to figure the whole thing out, so yes, patience and persistence are important things to achieve success. So don’t give up if something doesn’t work the first time or doesn’t work as you would expect.

It really seems to work

So the Law of Attraction really seems to work. And indeed, it’s almost impossible to describe how it works.which of course is why it’s also called a ‘secret‘ everywhere it’s being mentioned.

So I was happy today that many things went well, that I have hope with reason now.

And just now when starting with this post someone gave me a really hard kick, which is also what he had promised me to do, except he did it in a very different way than I had expected.

So I am sitting a bit stunned now, like an opportunity having passed by, but maybe or probably or definitely it didn’t. And somehow it’s all up to me.

And on one side I think something like I did something wrong, that I let pass an opportunity. But on the other side I need to stay me, to stay myself and do things my way. But I did find someone who did ask the right questions and indeed seems to implement the Principles of Success, at least business wise.

And the big question indeed seems to be if I’m ready or not. Apparently not yet right now now now, but I know I’m getting closer and closer.

Inspirational team meeting

Wow, I’m still happy with my Master Mind group for this project, for the project IFS. For learning how to be or become a leader, where I’m starting to understand that leadership is also or maybe about listening, but somehow also by deciding, taking charge. And yes, team and Master Mind seems to have been my main weakness, knowing everything myself, knowing everything better. And I may know a lot and I may know how I want it or how something could or should be done, but doing it alone is impossible, without other people supporting and doing part, or in most cases the majority, of the work you cannot achieve something big, something significant, something that ‘makes a dent in the world’ as Seth Godin states it.

And I ‘know’ that other people also know a lot, can do a lot. But somehow I still feel something like ‘I can do it better’, even though I’m starting to realize that’s not true. Cars and planes were invented and built and mass produced ‘without me’. Men flew to the moon without me. Most of the daily stuff I’m using and eating I wouldn’t even know how to produce or how to get here. And nothing, literally nothing of anythings serious I could do alone. It’s all already there, invented and made by other people and produced and brought to me by ‘organized effort’.

So again, what’s my role, what could I do, what should I do? Just be part of the system? That’s not my nature I guess. So yes, I guess I’ll have to take that leadership role, make something happen, start or continue the projects I believe in. And try to make other people believe in it too and make something happen in the world, something new, something that add value, not only for me, but also for all other people involved, maybe even to everybody in the world.

So yes, maybe finally I’m learning what I needed to learn all my life and what i never understood. Take my role and make it work.

Inspiration vs. motivation

Lately I don’t feel very inspired. And I don’t feel very motivated. And I don’t seem to succeed to inspire people, to motivate people to do things I have in mind. And I’m kind of OK with it, as this whole feeling of mine goes back the the roots, to the origins of this site, the site Inspiration for Success. So it helps me to move on, to improve, do something.

And a few days ago I wrote the post What inspires you. And I put some Tweets in Twitter with the same question. And I put the same question in Facebook. And until now I didn’t get any reply, any feedback. And when searching for ‘inspiration‘ and ‘motivation‘ and ‘success‘ and combinations of those in Google I mostly end up in work related sites. Yes, of course, as the internet has commercialized very fast the last few years, so business type sites will show often show high in the search results as they have the budget to ‘advertize’ their sites, promote their sites. So from an internet perspective ‘success’ mostly has to do with career, with money, with being successful as ‘the world’ sees success. And from an internet perspective inspiration seems to be something like ‘motivation for success’. Or, as I found in the site related to my post What inspires you to creative inspiration.

So yes, I think the site Inspiration for Success as I have it in mind certainly has value, can add something to people, can add something to the world. As I didn’t find anywhere yet the type of thing I want to, well, convey or something, the thing I’m looking for.

You see, I just want to inspire you to be passionate, to fulfill your dreams, to live life to the fullest. And not from a ‘worldly’ perspective, but from your, well, deepest being, from who you really are, not from what the world expects from you. And it seems so few people find that, do that, find that inner power to really be themselves as they are meant to be.

And I struggle with it, as I see myself NOT having achieved that yet, not living life to the fullest, even though I know I have the power to do that, I have this feeling inside me I can be who I really am and show it to the world and be successful…

And I guess this is what all the successful people talk about, radiate, do. And that this is also the secret that is hidden in, indeed in The Secret, but also in Think and Grow Rich.

So where did I lose it, when did I lose it, as I know I had it, somewhere, some time when I was young. And where did you lose it, as you also had it, somewhere, some time.

And more important, how to claim it back, how to become the person we really are, we are really supposed to be meant to be.

Yes, that’s what I want this site to be, to inspire you to become whole again, to become you again, to become the real you again. Without holding back, without all the limitations that the world has put on you or you think the world has put on you.

Yes, that is what I want…
