How sports can inspire and help you to be more successful

I recently published an article about my first triathlon here in the Philippines and I am quite happy about the fact that so many people enjoyed reading the post – thank you for your interest!

During the last couple of weeks and months, a few people were asking me about how I could spend so much time with my (almost) daily training; and I would always reply something like “I just got used to it” and “I need that exercise to balance my virtual life as an online marketer”. Plant seeds

After my search for the daily quote I kept on reading the page and found the following quote:

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”Robert Louis Stevenson

It made me think, made me feel a bit embarrassed as, I guess like most people, I mostly focus on things I want, on things I need.

Of course I think I also plant quite some seeds, like writing a post every day for this website. But looking at the quote, at the end of the day I think in general I tend to count the reaping, not what I have given or sown. I tend to look at the statistics and feeling disappointed that the site is not being found, instead of thinking I may have just have meant something for one person by sending my daily quote. I tend to think about the content that is not yet there instead of thinking of the little things I improved or changed. Or even the one person who might have found something useful on the site.

So yes, there is a lot behind that quote. Many things are just a matter of perspective and there is only so much one person can do on a day. And receiving things or harvesting depends on so many things we don’t really control.

So let’s look a bit more on even the smallest seed we have planted today, or yesterday, and be happy about it, feel satisfied about it. As maybe that’s what life is all about, the little things.

And let’s not forget that planting even one little seed every day would mean a whole forest of small trees after one year and may be a whole rain-forest that even multiplies and takes care of itself after ten or twenty years.

And nothing to reap there, but a lot to enjoy walking in the rain-forest or just looking at it or just knowing it’s there.

What do you think? Would you be willing to share your thoughts about harvesting and reaping below?

Next stage of Inspiration for Success

Wow, this is inspiration

I have been thinking a lot about this site recently, partly because of the comments I got on my ‘complaining’ or ‘negative’ posts and I think it’s time for the next stage. So today I worked a bit on the page ‘limiting beliefs‘ as I think it is about time the ‘pages part‘ is due for improvement as in my opinion in the end that would be the main part of the site: information, exercises, links, etc. about inspiration, motivation and success.

I also have been thinking the home page should be an inspiring homepage to invite people to check what the site has to offer and not just (my) latest blog post. Have to discuss that with my Master Mind group though.

Anyhow, you may not fully know or understand, but my, not so formally planned, initial stage, including daily blog posts, was mainly to create content so the site could be found by people interested in the subject. And that’s also why i’m not so worried about the criticism I got about being negative or complaining, as people in a similar situation like me and looking for success or looking for being inspired for success i guess are the main target group for the site.

So for now maybe just some links to important pages in the site, even though they may not all have decent content yet:

Inspiring Master Mind

Yes, I am starting to see how important it is to work in a group, to do something together. I was very down today and talking to a friend first and having a Master Mind Group meeting later today completely changed my outlook and my feeling.

Still, very scared though, as I hardly have any friends and only one Master Mind Group member. Still don’t fully get why, why it seems other people don’t like to be around me, or I often not seeking the company of other people.

Again, of course these are just thoughts, and thoughts can be changed, at least ‘they’ say. But not as easy as I think(!?). So maybe changing my thinking about changing thoughts first? Sorry, didn’t really mean to play with words, but it sounds a bit funny, don’t you think?

So maybe work on some exercise or exercises on changing thoughts. Sometimes I used tricks, like counting 10 times to 100 or somethng. Or repeating strange sets of words. Might try that a bit more and make a more serious exercise from that.

So, somehow still some kind of useful or inspiring quote, don’t you think?

Inspirational or not? Some is certainly.

I just watched the video on Youtube that is highest in Google for ‘inspiration success’ and I’m not sure if it’s inspirational or not. Decide for yourself: video on Youtube.

This one appeals more to me: other video on Youtube.

I’m not sure if this is always true or if you should believe if this is the only way to success. I guess indeed it’s one way to success, but there may be more
