Justice system and leadership

Law Abiding CitizenI can’t get enough of the movie Law Abiding Citizen. The story is so strong depicting the weaknesses (and strengths) of the (Western) justice system. And it is about leadership, about the Principles of Success, where Clyde Shelton does everything to make his point, fulfill his definite purpose of showing Nick Rice that justice is not about how the justice system works.

And especially the end is very strong, as somehow Nick Rice still sticks with not really violating the law by killing Clyde Shelton directly. So in the end everybody wins.

And yes, these type of movies, or any famous or successful movie, makes me still kind of jealous. As I have the feeling I never really accomplished anything ‘great’. And even though I am now working on making internet better for Filipino’s, even though my mindset has changed by focusing more on service and less on wanting to get rich myself, I still don’t know if my project will push through. As the longer I am working on it, the more I realize what an enormous task I have given myself, putting up a third internet service provider in The Philippines.

But maybe the movie Law Abiding Citizen gives some inspiration here, as the whole thing that Clyde Shelton pulls off is also ‘impossible’. And also a creating a movie, any movie, seems to be a similar thing, as I guess in the end often probably only one person has an idea and has to ‘pitch’ it to other people, induce other people to make it, have it made.

And yes, the last days, few weeks, have been a bit lonely, as many times before. As yes, I had quite some talks and my project is slowly growing, but I still don’t feel any real commitment from or real work done by other people. So how do you do that, that is still my biggest question, ‘induce’ other people as Napoleon Hill states it.

Maybe just continue the way I am and yes, asking the Universe, Infinite Intelligence, to support it, to help. As yes, lately I also encounter that one human is so limited in what is going to happen, that one human is only a means to get something done in the greater thing. So maybe I am just playing a role in this project and maybe the project is going to come true anyhow, regardless of my effort. But yes, maybe also because of my effort.

How far I have gotten

There is a quote in my mind right now, and it goes something like that we often look at how far we still have to go instead of how far we have gotten. And I think I have gotten much further with my crazy internet project than I could have ever imagined. As yes, people confirm it is a crazy project. But yes, they also kind of support it, believe it would be or could be doable. And that is also what I see more and more, that people want other people to succeed, no matter what they want or how big or how small the item is they are looking to achieve. So yes, if I want to put Cagayan de Oro City on the internet map, make it the Internet City of the World, it is still some kind of crazy idea. But it is also not, as there is no real internet city as I have in mind in the world and why could Cagayan de Oro City not grow into something bigger, something big. And who wouldn’t want that?

And yes, I believe more and more that Napoleon Hill is right, and with him many other great thinkers. It all starts with service, with giving service to other people, with giving, with giving to other people. As it seems the more about giving something to the people, the people of Cagayan de Oro City, the people of Mindanao, the people of The Philippines, the better my project, my venture feels. And of course there is something in me that still says like ‘what’s in it for me?’, but if that part shows up, the good feeling becomes a little less good. As that is ‘taking’. And I believe more and more that you can only give, and receive. But you can’t take, you can’t force, you can’t force or expect other people to give you something. Or maybe you can expect, but you really have to fully let it go, you really have to fully let it up to the other person what he wants to give you.

And maybe you can ask, but I’m not fully sure how that exactly works. As if I ask the wrong way, again, I am kind of taking. It seems you really have to ask without expecting, without demanding. You really have to ask in an open way and be satisfied with whatever is given or not given.

So yes, I am learning I think. And it’s not easy, as many of my needs are not fulfilled, there are many things I am missing very much, like having enough money to live, have a car, have some holiday, visit my mam in The Netherlands and many more things. But again, you can’t force it, you just have to wait for The Universe to give. And maybe ready to receive. But you can’t force.

Progress?

I was in a very bad mood this morning, as I did not get exactly what I wanted and the discussion with my partner took much longer than I thought. But then I realized that I made progress, that we had gotten to some kind of compromise that may have been, is, half way.

So then I went to the city, still with this bad mood. And of course some things I wanted to do didn’t turn out as I wanted. So I kept spewing negative energy. But somehow Infinite Intelligence was helping me at some stage, after I kind of asked to help me, but that any outcome would be okay.

So somehow indeed we are not in control. Somehow we sometimes need to leave things to the Universe. And when we do that, things will fall easier into place than when we try to force them into place, as humans often try.

So thank you, Abraham Hicks, for letting me know.

Like cells in a body

I have been thinking a lot about humans and humanity and about the similarity of human cells in a body compared to humans in a, yes, what? And the question is of course if there is some kind of higher consciousness than ‘human’. And indeed, how would humans fit into that than? We all like to think we are unique, but if I look around I see humans, and many other things and creatures, just acting in the world like cells and all kinds of things in the body.

The strange thing however still is that humans distinguish something like ‘good’ and ‘bad’, which the more I think about it is a crazy idea. As ‘things’, including ‘living things’ just are what they are. And somehow the human mind, the human consciousness seems to have created some kind of concept of ‘good’ and ‘bad’. And it’s everywhere, in religions and I guess also in philosophy, although I am basically only familiar with the christian religion as that’s what I grew up with. But especially there, at the start, there is something like a higher consciousness, a God, who made humans ‘in his own image’ or something. And the story of creation in Genesis is indeed about the human ‘fall’ understanding ‘good’ and ‘bad’, meaning becoming like God, like the higher being, like the higher consciousness.

But then what is this higher consciousness? And how do humans fit into that? Are humans really unique or do also have cells in a body some kind of consciousness?

And all of this is related to something I thought about our financial system at the moment, where I think things are ‘wrong’, or maybe better stated, are not working, at least not for me and for many other people. So I was wondering if the cells in a body also have some kind of paying system. And my first thinking was ‘no’, as I never heard of anything like that. As it seems the cells in a body just seem to work together to create something like the ‘higher being’ man. Or, while writing, animal. And they just seem to do what they are supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less, without any apparent payment or ‘feeling bad’ or ‘feeling good’.

And yes, behind all this, behind this post is also the thinking of Abraham Hicks, that everything has a ‘preference’, that everything has a choice. And yes, that’s also what The Matrix is all about, the problem of choice. And that’s what also the bible and probably other religions are also about.

Anyhow, what I was thinking was if we couldn’t look at the cells in our body cooperating with each other and with the ‘higher being’, the human, to create, well, the human. As that system seems to be a much more cooperative system than ‘humans’ and ‘the world’. But of course I cannot be sure, as how would I find out if the cells in my body are happy or sad? They apparently exist on a different level of consciousness than I am, similar to probably consciousnesses on higher levels than humans.

Or are we just on the road to something ‘higher’? Is that why so many people feel ‘bad’, why so many people are unhappy?

As indeed, I believe happiness and cooperation are the key, are the things that should be. And not unhappiness or separation.

So yes, let’s look more how the cells and the body do all this. how they relate to each other and try to make life easier for all.

Before The Matrix

Bound movieAs far as I knew The Matrix was the first movie produced by the Wachowski Brothers, but I just found out that they made a movie before the Matrix Trilogy, the movie Bound. So when I found out of course I decided to download it, as The Matrix Trilogy is one of my most favorite movie experiences I have ever experienced, if not the best or at least most interesting movie experience ever. And every time I watch part of it I see something new. Like a few days ago, when I accidentally saw it on TV I realized that Smith says somewhere in the first Matrix movie that if Zion is destroyed he is going to be deleted. And I never realized that. And it is even the most basic foundations of the movie, programs being deleted, like humans going to die. And I never realized it also applied to Smith, so this gives a whole new dimension to the story for me. And believe me, I think I know the movies well and know many of the kind of hidden details and stories and philosophies and whatever, so seeing something new after seeing those movies so many times is exciting.

So I just watched it and it is a good movie with a very interesting plot. And the start reminded me a bit of The Matrix as the music sounds familiar, so probably they used the same composer.

And I thought I had nothing inspiring to share today, but it seems I still have, as my new discoveries, the discovery about Smith not being needed anymore if Zion is destroyed and this first movie of Wachowski Brothers is quite exciting to me.

And yes, I admire the Wachowski Brothers more and more, even now, as I have no clue how they pulled off something like The Matrix with so many angles from so many disciplines in life.
